OK, Overwatch’s showing at BlizzCon 2026 might not have set the world on fire, but we stil have to say that having some sci-fantasy vampire and turning Sombra into a full-on Support role character has some je ne sais quoi to it too. So it’s worthwhile to condense the details shared for the shooter during its panel at the convention.
Naturally we begin with Doctrine, who brings a scepter to a gun fight that is capable of healing allies and harming foes, while his abilities allow him to infuse his next skill with an added effect, dash to an area, or unleash bat drones that grant speed and healing to an ally or reduce an enemy team’s health while granting friendlies overhealth in the case of his ultimate.
As for the reworks to Sombra and Roadhog, that makes significant adjustments to the former as she now has direct healing and AoE healing skills, as well as a minor perk that makes her EMP ultimate also heal allies caught in its wave. Meanwhile, Roadhog’s adjustments look to be less dramatic (and less talked about judging by Twitter response), with the removal of his Scrap Gun’s alt fire and a new Trash Compactor ability that condenses absorbed projectiles into an explosive scrap ball.
