EA’s Fight Night Series Is Officially Making A Comeback After 15-Year Hiatus

EA has announced that it’s bringing back the Fight Night series after a lengthy hiatus, writing on social media, “To everyone who stayed in our corner: Fight Night is coming back.”

Fight Night Champion is the most recent entry in the series, and was released back in 2011, after which EA shifted focus to the UFC franchise. Back in 2021, it was reported that the publishing powerhouse was looking to resurrect the Fight Night series, but its efforts were on hold while EA Canada worked on UFC 5. The project was reportedly going by the codename Moneyball at the time, although it’s unknown if this is the same title that EA is currently developing for its comeback.

Fight Night originally started out life back in 2004 with the release of Fight Night 2004 for the PS2 and Xbox, and was followed by Fight Night Round 2 (2005), Fight Night Round 3 (2006), Fight Night Round 4 (2009), and Fight Night. Champion (2011).

No details have been revealed on the new Fight Night title yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
